Job Title: Protective Services Worker Full-time. $23.08/hr. 35-hour work week.

Bristol is seeking a Protective Services Worker to join its dedicated team committed to assisting abused, exploited, neglected, and self-neglected elders.
Elder Protective Services Worker Position Summary: This position is responsible for investigating reports of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of elders, assessing risk, and alleviating abuse in compliance with Elder Affairs and agency guidelines. Duties include ability to develop rapport with the client, conduct timely investigations, ability to assess risk and intervene in crisis situations, develop service plans to alleviate risk, and monitoring ongoing risk and efficacy of service plans. Requires home visits, knowledge of community resources, ability to work with professionals and families, and documentation in client records within mandated timeframes.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in social work or related field with at least one year of experience in counseling or case management; or a bachelor’s degree in social work or related field with two years’ experience in counseling or case management, preferably in a Protective Services or crisis intervention capacity.
Special Skills/Knowledge: Excellent oral and written communications skills, ability to effectively relate to a wide variety of personalities, proven assessment and crisis intervention skills, demonstrated organizational and time management skills, basic computer skills, ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced, high volume work environment. Bilingual in English and Portuguese, Spanish, or Creole language a plus.
Requirements: Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
