The Town of Ludlow is currently accepting applications for a full-time, Activities Director for the creation and implementation of a variety of activities and programs at a multi-purpose Senior Center.
Major responsibilities include maintaining statistical information for reporting purposes to various funding sources, document appropriately; implement activity registration and maintain class registration ledger; solicit, obtain and evaluate potential instructors and volunteers. Supervise and train both fitness room and activities assistants; attend staff meetings and training where deemed appropriate. Able to assess the needs of older adults and able to prioritize and multi-program; interact with the public in a positive manner, upholding the philosophy of the Center and be able to speak to large groups.
Responsible for the knowledge of all programs along with the ability to disseminate that information; all other duties as needed requested by Director to ensure the efficient operation of the Senior Center.
Qualified candidates must be possess creativity, enthusiasm, energy, and pay attention to detail. Have sincere interest and experience working with the elderly; organizational skills and computer skills including social media, be a self-starter with ability to interact with a variety of people, a Bachelor’s degree in recreation/human services a plus, or equivalent experience. This is a 35 hours a week position, with flexibility to meet program needs. Reports to Director. CORI check required by law.
