This position is responsible for investigating reports of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of elders, assessing risk, and alleviating abuse in compliance with Elder Affairs and agency guidelines. Duties include ability to develop rapport with the client, conduct timely investigations, ability to assess risk and intervene in crisis situations, develop service plans to alleviate risk, and monitoring ongoing risk and efficacy of service plans. Requires home visits, knowledge of community resources, ability to work with professionals and families, and documentation in client records within mandated timeframes.
35 hour work week with flexible scheduling options following introductory period.
This position requires either a bachelor’s degree plus at least two years’ experience in counseling, casework, or case management providing protective or crisis intervention services or a master’s or higher degree plus at least one year of experience in counseling, casework, or case management, preferably in a protective services or crisis intervention capacity; or. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required. Applicants bilingual in Portuguese/Spanish and English encouraged.
