The Town of Andover seeks a dynamic professional to serve as its next Director of Elder Services. The qualified candidate is a skilled leader, manager, communicator and consensus builder whose collaborative work style results in high performing teams, engaged citizenry and well-conceived program development and delivery. She/he is a skilled planner, highly organized and is a natural networker both within and outside of local government. Must have a natural proclivity to build community with elders, staff and peers within the Community Services Department and beyond.
Demonstrable background in leading and managing people-focused organizations, preferably in the municipal context. Knowledge of local, state and federal resources available to the elder population, best practices in the field of aging, wellness and continued learning and a proven track record of building programs that meet the needs and interest of citizens.
She/he will be adept at building, managing and monitoring municipal budgets, evaluating program effectiveness, and communicating performance through the use of statistics and performance outcomes.
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree in related field preferred with 5-7 years’ experience managing complex, service-focused organizations.
Salary range: $80,000 – $100,000
