The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a successful Age/Dementia Friendly project in greater Fall River communities. The Project Manager will research current State projects and develop a local program. Work entails community outreach and education regarding implementing the Age/Dementia Friendly project and the related Purple Table restaurant initiative. The person will work with care partners of those with Alzheimer’s Disease, dementia, and other disorders requiring accommodation and will also provide opportunities for caregivers to participate in evidence-based interventions. The Manager will be the lead in conducting meetings and trainings. This position is responsible for documentation, tracking, and for investigating additional funding sources.
Experience in project development required. Must be organized, experienced in public speaking, have strong verbal and written skills, and able to work independently. Bachelor’s degree in a social service related field, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation required. Bilingual English and Portuguese/Spanish preferred. 35-hour work week.
