Northborough, MA (14,500 pop.), is a suburban community which offers classic New England charm along with a variety of housing options, a mix of retail establishments and restaurants, and access to educational opportunities. To serve as its Senior Center Director, Northborough is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional with excellent leadership skills who is adept at financial management, is a skilled communicator, and a highly organized manager. Preferred candidates will have a Master’s degree in gerontology or social service and at least five years of related experience, two of which have been in a supervisory capacity, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should have a broad knowledge of federal and state services available to the elderly. Candidates should have skills in financial management including the ability to procure grants, initiate fee-for-service programming, and secure government reimbursements where possible as well as the ability to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs, and recommendations.
