The Town of Merrimac is seeking qualified applicants for the full-time position of Council on Aging Executive Director.  Preferred candidates should have a Master’s degree in gerontology, social work, human services or a related field.  Candidates should be dynamic and experienced professionals with excellent leadership skills, strong financial management skills, exceptional communication and organizational skills.  Candidates should also have at least five years of working with older adults, including two years in a supervisory role.  They should have extensive knowledge of federal, state and local resources as well as collateral services available to older adults.  Experience is required in grant-writing, budget management, administration and supervisory work needed to implement and manage comprehensive programs and services designed to enhance older adults’ quality of life and to maximize their independence.  To apply for the position of Council on Aging Executive Director, please email your resume and cover letter to the Town of Merrimac Finance Director Carole McLeod, by Friday May 29, 2020.  See full job description at
