We can do better!

This represents just 25% of the 60 population is fully vaccinated and that means 75% are at risk of serious complications. Yes, we are fatigued, but this is a marathon, and we need to push past Heartbreak Hill and double our efforts to help immunize our older adults. Tune in and help!

Dear Partners,

You and your networks have been and continue to be vital in reaching and helping older adults gain access to COVID-19 vaccinations. We know that many of you have been actively engaging with older people to get boosted. Thank you!

As of January 9th, approximately 415,000 Massachusetts older adults (age 60+) who are fully vaccinated and eligible for a booster still need a booster dose. Boosters help people extend protection from severe disease, hospitalization, and death due to COVID-19.

Please join us for a webinar on Wednesday, January 19th from 12:00 to 12:45 PM on booster outreach efforts. Register at https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/tZUsduCgrj8rGNFCS0EKM3iUi0gBRQzoAs92.

We hope you will take this time to hear from your colleagues and to share ideas. Following the webinar EOEA will also share a guide with updated information, including communication and outreach resources and tools.

Please reach out to Amanda Bernardo at Amanda.Bernardo@mass.gov if you need any additional information.

Thank you for your continued partnership in this vital work and for all you do to keep older residents safe, supported, and emotionally and physically engaged.
