David P. Stevens, Past Executive Director, 1994-2022

David P. Stevens was the incredible Executive Director and leader of MCOA for over 28 years. He was a tireless advocate on hundreds of issues impacting older adults in the Commonwealth including increasing opportunities for LGBTQ seniors, growing Healthy Aging initiatives, building up the SHINE program, working to reduce economic insecurity and expanding behavioral health services and supports across Massachusetts. David was the respected and admired advocate on these and many other issues up until his untimely passing on April 28, 2022 from cancer.

David was proud of MCOA and the entire network. The work that MCOA continues to do for older adults across the Commonwealth will always be possible due to David’s tremendous efforts for so many years.
