As a Career Services Professional with over 17 years of experience, Tom is passionate about helping mature workers re-enter the workforce and obtain gainful and meaningful employment. He is professionally trained and certified in Résumé Writing (Certified Professional Résumé Writer), Interviewing (Certified Employment Interview Professional), and Career Coaching (Certified Professional Career Coach). He is also a Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF).
Tom currently works as a Résumé Writer for RiseSmart, and he holds Career Services drop-in sessions on the last Wednesday of every month at the Morse Institute Library.
Prior to joining the 50+ Job Seekers Networking Group program as a Group Leader, Tom worked in higher education Career Services at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences, Quinsigamond Community College, and the University of Massachusetts Boston. He also worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts’ Division of Career Services, Boston Career Link, a non-profit, One-Stop Career Center, and the South Middlesex Opportunity Council.
As a former “experienced job seeker”, Tom has been through all phases of unemployment, which enables him deliver the guidance and services that job seekers need for success! Whether you need help writing a résumé, networking, interviewing, or staying positive during a time of career transition, he brings a wide array of knowledge to the 50+ Job Seekers Group.
